About
ISLA Theatre

Isla Theatre is an arts foundation based in Spain using theatre as a connector linking young people, local residents and the wider international community on our beautiful island. In our first 5 years, we have produced a wide variety of shows from contemporary American comedy through Shakespeare to the Charles Dickens classic 'A Christmas Carol'. We are now focusing on new writing and after a sell out run in Palma (2018) and London (2019) of Carl's Story by Gavin Miller, we are seeking submissions for new writing to be workshopped and developed in 2021.

Our original aim remains the same:

DELIVER cross-cultural theatre experiences that connect people of all ages.

INSPIRE greater appreciation of our individual creativity and shared creative roots.

ENCOURAGE people to explore language and theatre from a new perspective.

ENTERTAIN using universal themes that are locally relevant.

Our Team

We created ISLA in 2013 after meeting on a Shakespeare project in Mallorca. All professionally trained, with a strong creative drive to build the theatre foundation that exists today. Between us, we have a wealth of experience in film, television, management and theatre across the globe.
