The Tempest

2013

Written by William Shakespeare

Directed by Jenny Whiffen and Drew Donovan

An inter-schools production of The Tempest by William Shakespeare, performed by 57 children from Mallorcan schools participating in the ISLA education programme. The Tempest is the story of a shipwreck, magic, family relationships and how it feels to be 'washed up' in an unexpected place.

These underlying challenges of migration, culture shock and internationalism that suffuse The Tempest made it an obvious choice for our schools Shakespeare collaboration.
